We are a small team with over 27 years of hands-on experience, rooted in the field. Founders Emmelyn and Fred began their safari journeys in Arusha, Tanzania, in 1992, eventually relocating to Botswana. Fred honed his mobile-camping expertise under safari guru Sir Soren Lindstrom in 1996, mastering logistics, guest comfort, site selection, and camp cuisine. Today, he personally accompanies guests to ensure every moment—mealtime, camp setup, game drive—is exceptional.

Botswana’s reserves and wilderness are carefully protected and preserved. The government’s strategy of Low Volume-High Density is to ensure its long-term survival; only a limited number of travelers get to witness the most extraordinary places. Lodges in the parks only have eight to ten rooms; it is, therefore, best when tours are personalized to your interests and pace, making the experience as unique as possible.

Here are some tips for organizing a safari in Botswana:

The Mobile Camping Safari is comfortable and offers spacious tents with ensuite bathrooms. The daily rates for each individual range from the following: USD 450 to 650 USD a night.

The rates for budget lodges vary from $580 to $750 per person a night, mid-range lodges range from $900 to $1500 per person a night, luxury lodges are priced between $1500 and $2400 per person a night, and exclusive lodges start at over $2400 per person a night.

Getting Around: Charter Flights and Road Transfers:

Due to the swamps between parks, charter transfers are the most commonly used transportation method in Botswana.

Botswana is a semi-arid region covered with sandy soil, making it difficult to travel by road in most remote parks; however, when camping, road transfers are available.

Charter flight transfer from one park to another. Rates are from $280 to $350 when starting in Maun and from $350 to $480 when starting in the Chobe region.
